Advertising Coverage and Traffic Generation

KitGuitarBuilder.com and KitGuitarForum.com are a combined effort to assist acoustic kit guitar builders with their projects. To publicize these sites, we will be constantly doing the following:
  • Mentioning it on various forums, in eBay auctions, and on other sites;
  • Using it as a signature line in every communication with other kit builders and luthiers.
  • Acoustic Guitar Magazine's Summer Gear Section (on sale 5/2/06, earlier for magazine subscribers) will carry an ad for KitGuitarBuilder.com. I also place small ads in this and other magazines.
  • Woodcraft Magazine carried a 4-page article I wrote (with my photos used as illustration) on Kit Guitars in their September issue (on sale now), and it is generating traffic for both websites. It's feature article is on Gerald Sheppard, Luthier.
  • Placing advertising in other advantageous spots.

    I am planning on these sites becoming a major information resource for kit builders, with illustrated instruction offered on all sorts of acoustic kits and procedures. This will be more than an "I did this and then I did this for my kit" site. It is to be instruction and to provide amplification, with numerous photos, of documentation supplied by kit providers. Please see the site's "Kit Instruction" sections for examples. (Currently showing the Martin Jumbo, Stewmac Dreadnought, and LMI OM kits being built.)

    We are currently enjoying relatively high traffic for a new "niche" site: We have just over 15,000 visits in 5 months. (The site was announced on March 3, 2006, and went online permanently in mid-March.) I feel certain that these sites will become a popular stop for all acoustic kit guitar builders.

    NOTE: The Kit Guitar Forum is the ONLY forum on the internet devoted to Acoustic Kit guitars, and the Kit Guitar Builder site is unlike any other Kit Guitar sites in that it reviews and shows building of various kits, plus tools, etc.
